Summit Farms was the best experience we could’ve asked for with a wedding venue. This is the first place that we toured & immediately knew we had to book here. The owners (Russell & Leta) were so welcoming & knowledgeable. Becca was our wedding planner and she made sure everything went smoothly during the entire planning phase and was just a text away when you needed her. The wedding day went so smoothly due to Russell, Leta, and Sam’s meticulous attention to detail. Our coordinator Susan was by our side every step of the way on the day of the wedding. They made planning a breeze and everything about the day went smooth. They have the way they run their weddings down to a science, while still making the entire experience entirely personal. We could not have asked for a better venue & staff!

Not only is this venue absolutely beautiful, but the entire team including the owners create such a wonderful, stress free experience. They took care of everything and then some! Becca, Leta, Russell, and their team truly made our wedding so easy to plan! Everything was handled for us on their end, all we had to do was show up! Summit Farms is the best of the best!! I can not recommend this venue enough from our first visit to our daughter’s wedding day everything was amazing!! Becca was always available with any questions or concerns we had. Mr. and Mrs. Hood were the most attentive and pleasant people we have had the pleasure of meeting. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Summit Farms was the first venue we chose to look at. We met with Becca on a Sunday and they even kept a wedding they held the night before in place so we could visually take in what they had to offer. Becca walked us not only through the venue, but the whole process. She felt like a friend by the time we left. She really already had us sold. We didn't want to be those people who went with what we first saw so we looked at a couple other venues. But, they just did not feel right. We felt as if our wedding day would be more of a business transaction than an experience. From the moment we signed our contract, they were on it. It such a huge relief that they handle 99% of the planning, the 1% they do not handle, they have recommendations for, questionnaires, forms, etc. Their Pinterest page was a huge help in putting the items we were responsible for (decor / aesthetics) together. Becca was super responsive on any question I had and worked so well with us to provide the perfect day. What's even better, is you get the whole Hood Family when you have book at Summit Farm. The Hood Family (Russell, Leta, Becca, and Sam) are the greatest people you will ever meet. They truly work so hard and strive to make your vision come to life and ensure the day of runs as smoothly as possible. We also booked "The Lewis House" for the night before and of. The cutest home and SO spacious. Ellijay had suffered a storm a few days prior to our wedding that cut the power out to the farm and the home. Leta had called me the Thursday before to inform the barn was fine and everything was on a generator but the house was out of power and that the candles I wanted for the tables were on back order and delayed shipping due to the storm as well. She mentioned she had placed another order on Amazon and was hoping they would come in on time. The rehearsal came around and this where we really got to see Kelly, the day of coordinator, shine. The sweetest lady and let me tell you, she is on it! The rehearsal and day of ran so smoothly. She also assisted our photographer through all the pictures, from picking up my dress, to holding my flowers. Ugh, she was perfect!

Going back to the power issue, Leta kept me posted on the power status of The Lewis House all throughout the day Friday. She finally received word that the power had came back on while we were at our rehearsal dinner and we were able to stay both nights. A HUGE convenience to just be a minute away from the venue.

The next morning, they were working on putting everything together. The flicker (black) candles had not come in yet (these were originally to come from the florist and were on back order and hence why Leta ordered some herself), and sweet Leta, had gone to Walmart the night before to get dark blue candles and painted them black herself. I could have cried! We were totally okay changing our plan and using what was available but Leta was NOT having it. She told me she understood my vision and wanted to ensure I had it. It is just one testament of the type of people the Hood's are. We were SO lucky to have had them for our special day.

I feel like I could go on and on about how great our experience with Summit Farm was from beginning to end but I am unsure of how many characters these reviews allow LOL. If you are looking for wholesome people, who will literally put you above all things, this is the place. They are exceptional at what the do and I honestly sad our time with them has come to an end. You can not go wrong with Summit Farm. From the people, decorations, vendors, staff, the views, etc. it was all just so so great. We are forever grateful to have meet them and hope to maintain a relationship from afar. We are just so blessed and we could not have imagined our wedding any different. It was truly meant to be.

I can't say enough good things about working with Summit Farm Weddings, as we planned our daughter's special day! Becca and her staff worked so hard to make sure everything was PERFECT the day of the wedding. The ceremony was gorgeous with those beautiful mountains in the back ground, the reception was a dream come true and the food was delicious.

I cannot review this venue highly enough!
They are a family owned venue and they made us feel apart of the family. They made the entire process as easy and stress free as they could. I was in constant contact with Becca and she answered all of my pre-wedding and planning questions almost immediately through text and within 24 hours through email. She's so sweet and caring. She makes you feel like your wedding is the most important day; and it is! Kelly was our day of wedding coordinator and while we didn't speak much pre-wedding; on the wedding day, she was On. Top. Of. It. She worked closely with our photographer to ensure we were on schedule, she grabbed me food when I was hungry, drinks when thirsty and consistently made sure I was ok and took care of all of my needs. She was there when I needed but also took care to not be overbearing; that's a tough balance and she killed it. She also took us around in a golf cart for our photographer to get all the gorgeous landscapes the venue offers. And people, if you want gorgeous landscapes of mountains and hills; look no further. It was beautiful. Other notables, the food was so good!! We chose mexican and I ate my weight in guac and tacos. We were able to really customize what we wanted and our guests loved the food! We did the apple package and everyone loved the apple favors; totally worth it. So much of the vendors were a part of the inclusive venue, it really made the experience stress free. We chose our own photographer, officiant, videographer, and hair/makeup. But Becca has recommendations for each if you need help! Everyone at the farm was so amazing, our bartender Sam was so friendly and made sure the drinks were readily available for all. He also gave a fantastic bar recommendation for our Honeymoon location. The patriarch, whose name escapes me, he is a former pastor and prayed over us before our rehearsal and it was absolutely lovely; both sets of parents really loved and appreciated the extra love shown on our day.
To be honest, I could continue writing about how amazing this venue is but this review is already long enough. Go visit and fall in love with Summit Farms; you won't regret it!!

Summit Farm is the most magical, romantic, beautiful place to have your wedding! Becca ,Susan, and the rest of the team work over and above to ensure your day is perfect. My wedding fell on a very rainy day. I was heart broken. BUT the team a Summit Farm pulled off the most beautiful, cozy outdoor wedding under the Pavillion. It was even better than what I had planned outside with a mountain view! All their recommended vendors are AMAZING! Becca handles everything for you! I unfortunately had a stroke a few months before my wedding and Summit Farm went over and above to restructure my day and I never lifted a finger! Our experience with Summit Farms was perfect at all aspects. From the venue itself (which is STUNNING), to the planning portion with Becca (who is AMAZING at what she does), Susan our wedding coordinator (also amazing and paid attention to every detail), and all our vendors and the venue staff were all perfect. Wow - where do I even begin? I can't even begin to describe how amazing this venue is... I will start with the Hood family. This was the very first venue I went to look at. The first day I went to see this venue, Russell and Becca were both there to show me around. I remember sitting inside the barn just talking to them about life and things that had nothing to do with my wedding day. I could tell right away that this family had strong family values and beliefs that really hit home with me. They took the time to get to know me, and they showed me that they truly care about their potential brides. I knew right away that this was the venue I was getting married at. Our coordinator, Kelly, did a phenomenal job during the event. I even had other guests coming up to me telling me how amazing she was and how everything went so smoothly the day of. Our favorite part about this venue was how they already have recommended vendors that they used for their weddings, and this helped our day flow so well because the vendors knew exactly what to do and where to set up. I am so blessed that we were able to get married here in October 2023. If you love fall like I do, I HIGHLY recommend choosing a fall date - the leaves are breathtaking! My husband and I got married here this fall (2023), and our experience start to finish with the venue and staff here was phenomenal. Multiple guests approached us during the reception  to tell us how great the ceremony and reception were. A couple of these guests even said they our wedding changed their belief that weddings are inherently boring and stressful events, and so much of that is because Summit allowed us to be as stress free as possible on our big day. With the services of a wedding planner, the option for wedding packages, and access to the Summit storehouse-- you won't find so much included-at-base-cost decor at most any other venue-- Summit really cannot be beat in their service.  In addition to how easy they made the wedding planning process, everyone at Summit is also incredibly kind and personable. All of our family and friends really adored the owners and staff. They are all so much fun. Becca will be your biggest cheerleader during the wedding planning process, and those that are there day-of (Leta, Russ, Kelly among others) will endear themselves to your loved ones so quickly that I'm sure they'll be mentioned by name for years to come when people talk about your wedding.  I was also moved by the fact that at the end of the night, Russ told us we could take home any food that was left, but that if we didn't want to or didn't have room he knew exactly where to donate it directly to someone in need. This is a family that not only owns a business in their community but is a part of their community, and who uses their business to give back to their community.  So if you want a headache free big day with time to actually enjoy your wedding, want to support a family owned business that gives back, and have beautiful mountain views any time of year, Summit is where you need to go.  (Our photographer was Stacie Hart, available through their wedding packages!)

If I could give Summit Farm more than 5 stars, I would! Becca and the whole team made our wedding so perfect and planning was absolutely seamless. The all-inclusive option took the stress of finding and meeting vendors away, and we had more time to spend focusing on the special little details of our day. My family was raving about how incredible and kind everyone was during the rehearsal and wedding day. I gave the decoration team creative liberty, and they did not disappoint! We recently had the most incredible wedding at Summit Farm in Ellijay, on September 2 2023, and I cannot say enough about this breathtaking venue. My husband Edward and I had our DREAM wedding at Summit Farm Weddings on September 30, 2023. We are absolutely in love with Summit Farm and the outstanding service that the team provided. We are eternally grateful to the wedding director, Becca, wedding coordinator, Kelly, our photographer, Kayla, baker, Veronica, florist, Michelle with Blue Ridge Flowers, – they are all amazing – super professional, informative, patient, immensely supportive and so sweet. They are all on top of their game. We could not have done it without them. We chose Summit Farm not only because of the gorgeous view and rustic venue, but also because Summit Farm provides pretty much everything that you need, which makes the planning that much easier. You can make your event as simple or as grand as you’d like through every detail. Their location is beautiful. Everything from the ceremony to the reception was immaculate. Vibes were great, drinks were flowing, and service was prompt and flexible with our timeline. The table settings were gorgeous and their presentation was outstanding. HUGE SHOUT OUT to Kelly!!! Kelly was fantastic to work with. If you needed anything, Kelly would already have it or would find a way to get it for you. She was such a joy to work with. Summit Farm is absolutely STUNNING, however, we chose this place based on the service they provided and the lovely family that owns it! On our first visit they were so kind and made us feel at ease right away. I loved that they cover just about every vendor out there and I didn’t have to go searching for a florist, baker, photographer, caterer, wedding planner, etc! 

Not to mention they decorate the whole place and take it down as well, so very minimal effort from you or your family is needed. Not only that, the vendors they booked for me were TOP notch. This was my first wedding so I didn’t know what to expect or how to plan or anything. We wanted to have a ceremony/reception in the same location with the mountains being in the background of the venue. When we found summit farms, we visited and it was beautiful. However, I didn’t know at the time that they had an ALL INCLUSIVE deal! That put the icing on the cake. They booked all of my vendors for me, did the setting up and taking down of decor, and I literally did not stress one second. I can not recommend this venue enough. It was absolutely amazing. I had my wedding on 12/3/22 at Summit Farms and this venue and their team is amazing! I booked back in February of 2022 and ever since then I have had all my questions answered and treated so well! Summit Farms gave me the wedding of my dreams. Being from South Florida, I had always dreamed of having a mountain wedding but had no idea how I would be able to pull it off. When I found Summit Farms on Google, I knew I hit the jackpot. From the moment I first talked to Leta on the phone, I knew there was something special about this venue, and the family that ran it. I booked it sight unseen - the phone call, virtual tour, and Instagram page were good enough for me. The all-inclusive package was a dream. Not having to worry about booking and managing 5-10 vendors took SO much stress off of wedding planning. It allowed me to just focus on the fun part- my vision! Becca, Leta, and Sandra were amazing at executing everything I wanted, and were really flexible whenever I had a special request.They were extremely communicative, quick to respond, and just plain kind! At the cake tasting, rehearsal, and on the big day, Russell and Leta really made us feel like we were part of their family. They demonstrated true southern hospitality with their warmth and kindness- making sure we were comfortable, surprising us with sweet treats, and overall being very calm and relaxed. They never made it feel transactional, it felt more like they were a family sharing their beautiful land with our family, which made our wedding day feel so much extra special. Everything from the food, the cake, DJ, flowers, decor, etc were truly perfect. You always hear about things going wrong on the wedding day, but I truly feel that my wedding was everything I wanted and MORE. I will forever remember this day as magical, and can’t wait to visit it again some day. If you’re thinking about booking Summit Farms… just do it! :)

My Husband and I had the most wonderful wedding at Summit Farm Weddings, it is a day I will never forget and cherish forever. We were able to enter into our marriage covenant in one of the most beautiful and self-sustaining venues I've been too. Not only does Summit Farm have packages that offer just about everything you need for a wedding celebration (i.e. free decorations, suggesting and making the arrangements with a food provider, florist, photographer, cake maker, etc.) the members and staff of the Summit team are personable, friendly, and understanding hosts that will do just about anything and everything to make your dream day come true. We know this first hand as our wedding day had unexpected showers that changed all of the ceremony arrangements last second (like 1-2 hours before the set time), and the team was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to set up the ceremony in a space that had never been for used for one before. Everything went more magically than we could have ever imagined, even with a situation that could have become a semi-tragedy. We highly recommend this venue and will always remember the best day ever in the most beautiful location at Summit Farm Weddings.

I could not have asked for a better wedding experience than the one I had with Summit Farms. From the very beginning, they were so kind and put this anxious bride’s mind at ease. Every step of the planning process was made so easy because of Becca’s expertise and her willingness to collaborate with my wedding planner, Southern Daisy Events. Another feature I appreciated is that Summit Farms uses Honeybook for organizational purposes. The advantage there is all of our wedding details were easily accessible and the app keeps a record of all communication. We could see details about our vendors, pricing, and checklists for decor. Speaking of decor, the venue has a whole storehouse worth of wedding decor and are always adding to it. It was so nice to know I didn’t need to bring any or my own decor.  
The staff went above and beyond during the planning process and on the day of wedding to make sure our day was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Even small details, like having enough umbrellas for our guests, were handled so well that I genuinely did not worry about a thing. Most importantly to me, the staff was very friendly and kind. Every single person I interacted made us feel so at home. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The experience was perfect and we are so grateful for Summit Farms Weddings!!

P.S. 5 stars also because the view at the property is incredible. And the reception space is adorable
